Project Summary:
OBIRODH will provide support to activities aimed at fostering an inclusive and tolerant Bangladesh. This position will be based in Dhaka. This position is open to local nationals.

Position Summary:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing program development officer (PDO) and the GO teams. S/he supports the operation managers, designs activities and grants, coordinates with Senior Management Team, and works closely with the GO teams. The senior project manager is also responsible for coordinating political and security situation updates from the PDOs and conveying that information to other SMT.
Responsibilities:
- Serve on the SMT to share learning from programming and GO Teams.
- Manage PDOs and oversee pilot activity design and assessment process.
- Mobilize GO Teams to programmatic areas and oversee hiring of PDOs.
- Support operations manager to train staff on grants and USAID rules and regulations.
- Coordinate with M&E Director to train staff in gender sensitivity; inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI); and at-risk groups.
- Ensure coordination between PDOs and the Impact Evaluation Team (IET).
- Perform other duties as assigned by the COP and/or operations manager.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in international affairs or other relevant field; a master's degree in a relevant field is desired but not required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience with grant making, preferably in-kind and small grants.
- Fluent in the contractor's and international donor program's policies and procedures in regards to financial management, financial reporting, procurement processes, systems and grants management.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing a grants team and knowledge of USAID regulations and rules for procurement. Commitment to best practices in procurement and preventing and detecting fraud and conflicts of interest.
- Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and FrontPage).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience working in high threat security environments and leading politically sensitive activities.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously under pressure in a stressful environment and with colleagues from different cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Willingness to travel is essential.
- Fluency in written and oral English and Bengali.
