About the job Reporting to Cox’s Bazaar Logistics Manager, the Fleet Officer will provide safe transport services for the DRC program and support staff in Cox Bazaar. The Fleet Officer will adhere to all traffic and the DRC safety rules and follow the transport guidelines required by the DRC transport department. In addition to these duties the Fleet Officer manages the safety of all assigned cars and keeps proper records of car related documentation.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Coordinate transport of authorized passengers on their official duties, as well transport cargo safely and as instructed. This includes collecting materials from project sites and suppliers.
- Responsible for the weekly and daily transport schedule, including allocation of cars for private use.
- Understand and obey all traffic laws and regulations and conform with all Safety/Security instructions.
- Manage the drivers.
- Oversee and ensure proper use of the car.
About you To be successful in this role we expect you to be motivated, disciplined and team-oriented and have over 2 years fleet and/or general logistics experience and be fluent in written and spoken English. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
- 2-3 years’ experience in logistics, especially Fleet
- Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and extensive driving experience with a clean record
- Conscientious with an excellent sense of judgment.
Desirable
- Flexible & willing to work in a remote setting & to travel to other field locations.
- Understanding of mechanics and car repair, supply chain, fleet management & inventory.
- Experience from working in an (I)NGO

We offer Contract length: 3 months with possibility of extension dependent upon funding
