PSI works with Social Marketing Company (SMC) in Bangladesh to implement the Marketing Innovations for Sustainable Health Development (MISHD) project. SMC today is a large and successful social enterprise and a major contributor to the Bangladesh national family planning program, providing contraceptives to more than one third of all users. It markets a full range of family planning products, ORS, and has diversified into nutrition, reproductive health, and female hygiene. As part of PSI's role, PSI provides technical assistance in marketing and communications to develop strategic and design marketing plans, including providing support for the skill development of program staff.
PSI seeks qualified candidates with significant expertise in writing skill development of teams. Experience in designing workshops, including needs assessment, agenda, activities, evaluation and follow up is key. The consultancy will include remote prep work with required travel to Dhaka, Bangladesh, and follow-up coaching for a total of 14 working days.

Your contribution
YOU WILL provide the following assistance to SMC:
OBJECTIVE 1: Design and Deliver a5-Day Writing Skills Building Workshop that will cover the following topics:
- Writing case studies to document best practice/lessons learned
- Writing program briefs for various audiences
- Writing donor reports
- Preparing audience-focused presentations
In preparation for this workshop, the consultant will successfully complete the following steps:
- Training needs analysis to determine current skill level of participants and vision of success
- Training plan tailored to those needs and that vision
DELIVERABLE 1: A successful training as judged by participant feedback and objective measures of skills improvement.
DELIVERABLE 2: Follow-up assistance for participants
Supporting documents include:
- Needs assessment report
- Training plan with detailed agenda
- Follow-up coaching plan
- After action report for workshop including impact feedback at 3-month interval
What are we looking for?
- You have BA/BS degree or higher, preferably in communications or other related area.
- You have minimum 3 years successful background experience in designing and facilizing skill development workshops and coaching plans for teams and individuals, preferably with experience specific to writing skill development.
- You have experience bringing teams to consensus and managing team dynamics.
- You have experience working with international teams, preferably in Asia.
- Ability to travel to Bangladesh; and
- Fluency in English is required.
