Bangladesh: BANGLADESH – CONSULTANT FOR ANTHROPOLOGICAL STUDY – TEKNAF

Title: Teknaf Anthropological study

This Expression of Interest solicitation is open to all eligible consultants, in accordance with SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL recruitment procedures.

The main objectives of this consultancy are:

Overall Objective

• Provide a better understanding of the socio-cultural context of SI intervention areas focusing on the coexistence of host communities and Rohingya populations, their perceptions and social relationship as a result of the humanitarian crisis in Teknaf so to build stronger engagement of both communities and their ownership of the intervention.

Specific Objectives

• To acquire knowledge on the structure of the society and its socio-cultural aspects relevant for SI intervention, considering and comparing both host and Rohingya communities SI is working with
• Existing coping mechanisms / capacities that the project should build on
• Exploring and analysing the local perceptions around humanitarian action in Teknaf/Cox’s Bazar

The consultant will be recruited by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL for a period of 3 Months from the 1^st of April 2018 and will work under the direct supervision of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL Deputy Country Director to Program and SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL Country Director, based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.**

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL invites consultants to apply for the provision of services as described above.
