We are looking for our delegation in Bangladesh for a
Finance and Administration Officer - JPO
Position Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: 6 months
Location: Cox's Bazar - Bangladesh

Contractual conditions:
Junior Programme Officer position. Expatriate contract under Swiss labour code 2’200 CHF (~1’900 €) <> 2’400 CHF (2’100 €) net /month x 13 times (+ Withholding AVS candidate for Switzerland). Vacancy: 25 days/year + 10 days RnR, Health insurance, accident and medical repatriation insurance, location, return flight. Hardship bonus.
Context:
Following the massive displacement of more than 600 000 people into Bangladesh since end of August 2017, Tdh has put in place an important emergency response plan to provide relief to the Rohingya refugees, notably on health and nutrition, WASH and protection. To date, Tdh is running a team of 15 expats and over 150 national staff.
Main responsibilities:
The Admin and Finance officer works hand in hand with the Admin and Finance manager to support accounting, financial and administrative management of Tdh work in Cox’s Bazar.
Fonction details:
Working under the direct supervision of the Admin and Finance Manager, the Admin and finance officer main tasks will be:
Accounting
Support Tdh monthly accountancy closing and closing pack transmission to the coordination;
Supervise all accounting activities;
Support the supervision of the cash and bank management;
Supervise accountancy procedures: filing of documents, allocation of expenses, vouchers registration, balance checking, etc.;
Communicate accounts on a monthly basis to HQ, respecting SAGA procedures and deadlines;
Manage the presentation, circulation, filing and archiving of accounting and financial documents in conformity with procedures
Finance and Procedures
- Support the admin and finance Manager regarding budget construction and follow-up and procedures
HR:Recruitment /Capacity building
Support the admin and finance Manager regarding the recruitment of the admin/finance national staff team
Support the admin and finance Manager in terms of training/briefing of the admin/finance national staff team
Administration
Verify all contracts respect Tdh policy and supervise the follow up
Carry out any other administrative activities relevant to his/her mission
Child protection policy:
Commit to respect Tdh Risk Management Policies including: Child Protection Policy, Safety and Security Policy and Anti-Fraud/Corruption Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy
Commit to ensure the best implementation possible of the Tdh Risk Management Policies in Cox’s Bazar
Commit to inform supervisors and to deal with any cases, allegations, or possibility of transgression, even potential, of the Tdh Risk Management Policies
Profile:
Education and experience
Professional diploma or university degree in Administration, Finance field
At least 1 year experience in a similar position
Knowledge of major donors procedures is an asset
Knowledge of international humanitarian response and development work
Excellent written and spoken English (French is not required)
Previous experience with an NGO in unstable context
Previous experience in emergency response is appreciated
Ability to work in an inter cultural environment
