**
GENERAL SUMMARY**:** The Emergency Response Coordinator will have the overall responsibility for managing grant program activity planning and implementation, program personnel, stakeholders, sub-grantees and sub-contractors in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. You will oversee monitoring & evaluation (M&E) efforts, commodities, and financial decisions. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security, feasibility, and sustainability of the program.
This position and program works within the overall World Concern Bangladesh (WCB) country program, though it is a distinct, focused, humanitarian emergency response. As such, its impact on the overall standing and credibility of the country program must be considered at all times, and this position must safeguard that relationship to all stakeholders. This position shall work in general cooperation with the country director as necessary.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES**:**

Program Management
- Implement humanitarian program for refugee relief.
- Lead the project managers in implementation of their projects through regular meetings, coaching, and a strong reporting structure.
- Convene steering committee with stakeholders to guide the program.
- Manage project data and share with relevant parties.
- Regularly visit project sites to ensure they are well implemented.
- Prepare weekly situation reports and share with WC Seattle.
- Evaluate employees being supervised, and identify training needs and opportunities.
- Coordinate efforts with Integral Alliance members.
- Focal point for humanitarian organizations working under WCB registration, with particular emphasis given to Integral Alliance partners.
- Lead WCB team in Cox’s Bazar, including as security focal point and financial authority.
Program Development
- Represent WCB in coordination and donor meetings.
- Develop funding opportunities with the country team.
- Build capacity of WCB staff for networking and program development.
Capacity Building
- Support WCB leadership in staff development.
- Infuse WCB culture into humanitarian team.
- Provide trainings relevant to your experience for the WC Bangladesh staff, as requested by WCB.
- Advise the country director on matters relating to emergency management.
- Support the development and revision of operating procedures relevant to your experience for the WCB office.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
This position is responsible for the supervision of all WCB staff in the Cox’s Bazar operations, including but not limited to project managers, project officers, accountants, logisticians, domestic staff and drivers. Since WCB has a teaming agreement with other international agencies, the Coordinator is also responsible for the conduct, safety and security of the staff of said agencies, while in the Cox’s Bazar operating arena. Furthermore, any visitors from World Concern, partners, donors or other stakeholders will be under the supervision and authority of this position.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:**

- Christian Commitment: A deep and abiding faith that is fully surrendered to the will of Jesus Christ, evidenced by a lifestyle that is consistent with biblical principles and ongoing spiritual growth and development.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years experience implementing and/or supporting multisectoral humanitarian programming in developing countries, including camp management and interagency coordination experience. Demonstrated experience in reporting, monitoring and evaluation, statistical analysis, project cycle management, and financial management. Strong interpersonal communication skills to relate well and with authenticity to a diverse range of people. Encouraging, warm, and open relationship with others. Understanding of humanitarian code of conduct, cluster coordination and quality standards a must, with an ability to apply principles of best practice into practical programs in the field in diverse settings. Experience living in Bangladesh, or in a Muslim context.

- Other Considerations: This could be an accompanied post, but no family support costs are provided. Accommodation in Cox’s Bazar is adequate, but small and urban.

- Education: Post-graduate education in a relevant topic.
- Experience: Knowledge of Integral Alliance disaster response preferred. Experience with biometric registration, database management, humanitarian site development preferred. Experience implementing programs using cash transfers, cash for work, voucher or mobile cash modalities for nutrition, WASH, primary health care would be an asset.

- Other Considerations: Fluency in Bengali or Hindi an asset.
