Bangladesh: Senior Program Manager-Nutrition, Rohingya Response

The role:

The overall role of the Senior Programme Manager- Nutrition is to lead the scale-up and award implementation of the Nutrition component under Rohingya Response Program; this includes a focus on IYCF-E, CMAM, and C-MAMI programme implementation, ensuring timely and quality delivery of programmes, in line with donor requirements and technical guidance. This role is also expected to provide leadership and continuous support at field level and ensure harmonious integration of the emergency nutrition response with multi-sectoral health and nutrition interventions, as well as other relevant sectors. The Senior Manager will be also responsible for managing budget across multiple grants, follow up on all aspects of nutrition implementation, collaboration with other sectors, representing Nutrition team with other departments and managing the nutrition operations team.

The position will also provide support the Nutrition TA for capacity building initiatives for both staffs and partners; producing high quality concept notes, proposals and donor reports. S/he will be also expected to oversee programme supply needs and work closely with logistic team to put a phased procurement plan in place.

Qualifications and experience:

  • At least 7 years’ experience of delivering Nutrition program preferably in humanitarian settings on which at least 3 years’ in a management position
  • S/he is expected to have thorough understanding on of IYCF-E, CMAM, especially implementation and management of the OTP
  • Experience of project management including budget management of multiple awards.
  • Excellent skills in program planning, coordinating, representing, partnership management and staff management
  • Knowledge of institutional donors and experience of developing proposals including budgeting.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment, maintain a positive team dynamic, excellent interpersonal-skills/ ability to represent the organization with local authorities and community leaders.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken ability in English and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) are other pre-requisites
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in Nutrition or Public Health. Considering quality experience education may relax.

Contract length: 12 months with possibility of extension
