Over the next 16 years, BRAC’s flagship Ultra-Poor Graduation programme has lifted more than 1.8 million households out of the direct forms of poverty and depravation. In this time, BRAC has continued to adapt the Graduation approach to meet the changing needs of people living in ultra poverty in Bangladesh and around the world.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop programmes operational strategy and design effective implementation plans.
- Oversee all aspects of the programme implementation through effective supervision and monitoring of field operations.
- Conduct regular analysis of budget, identify deviations and take necessary steps to establish efficient financial management.
- Develop coordination mechanism and ensure close working relationship between operations and other units (M&E, technical team etc.).
- Provide guidance and leadership to manager performance and develop professional capacity of the operations management team.
Skills and Competencies:
- Extensive experience in the design and implementation of livelihoods programmes in disadvantaged communities.
- Proven ability to effectively lead and manage teams with a strategic vision and strong operations focus.
- Recognised experience in financial planning, budget management and programme monitoring.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience (at least 3 years in senior managerial position) in the development sector, preferably demonstrable experience of working with extreme poverty, livelihoods and disadvantaged groups
