Context :
Following the massive displacement of more than 600 000 people into Bangladesh since end of August 2017, Tdh has put in place an important emergency response plan to provide relief to the Rohingya refugees, notably on health and nutrition, WASH and protection.
The Nutrition PM will be responsible for Tdh’s Nutrition programming in Cox Bazar (Bangladesh) and will be responsible for the overall quality implementation. He/she is responsible for the evaluation, implementation and management of programming and monitoring of the Nutrition Project, including financial and logistics. He/She ensures the monitoring of qualitative and technical operational aspects of the Delegation’s programs in Cox’s Bazar on a day-to-day basis.
He / she supports the designing and fundraising for grants related to Nutrition, through the monitoring of donor opportunities, the drafting of concept notes, budget & project documents and in straight collaboration and supervision with the WHN Program coordinator and HQs’ teams specialists.
He / she is responsible as well for Nutrition Project Cycle Management, the day-to-day implementation and management of Nutrition activities, the Coordination and Representation with official authorities (MoH) and INGOs, the Managament of Nutrition Human Resources including capacity building of national counterpart (MoH staff) and national staff, the provision

Responsibilities :
Project Management
Develops, implements and monitors the emergency Nutrition projects, in accordance with multiple objectives, activities and targets outlined within current donor proposals and in line with projects’ budgets*.*
Ensures that activities are appropriately monitored and evaluated and proposes, when deemed necessary, amendments to the implementation strategy.
Follows up on the Nutrition situation in Cox’s Bazar, and activities’ impact and propose adjustments of the project strategy if needed.
Forecasts and follows up on expenditures related to the project.
Participates in budget revision exercises.
Prepares timely purchase requests in line with the project needs.
Supports required actions by the administration related to Nutrition team management and supervision.
Identifies logistic and admin support needs related to the project and communicate these to the relevant log/admin support person(s).
Reporting, monitoring, communication and planning
Ensures donor and internal reporting.
Writing of the narrative monthly, quarterly, intermediate and final reports, according to the templates and requirements.
Feeds information to the Wash, Nutrition & Health programme coordinator.
Participate in designing strategies and objectives for improved support to beneficiaries and contribute actively in its monitoring, evaluation and revision.
Participates in assessments in its geographical zone of intervention or outside.
As requested by his/her Line Manager, takes part in the definition of strategic orientation for the mission, be it in the operational or in the technical part.
Planning of activities. He/she must provide activity planning for all the duration of the project, as well as monthly and/or as requested.
Creates and applies a communication and visibility plan in the project(s) under his/her responsibility.
Designs, and ensures the correct implementation of a monitoring plan for the activities and staff of our local counterparts.
Designs, and implements correctly, a data gathering system and tools as needed for the implementation of the project.
Ensures the capitalization of lessons learnt and good practices in formal documents.
Coordination and representation
Participates in internal coordination meetings as needed and requested.
Participates in external coordination meetings (Cluster meetings, meetings with authorities from the Ministry of Health) and ensures the correct technical coordination with other Tdh activities.
Represents Tdh in front of the Ministries of Health, as requested.
Ensures the correct integration of Tdh’s Nutrition activities and strategy in the Ministry of health’s plans, policies and regulations.
Ensures the correct coordination with the other Project Managers, in the activities related to his area of work.
Ensures the coordination and solves potential overlapping of activities with other organizations and actors in health and/or nutrition sector in Cox’s Bazar.
Ensures communication and reporting regarding technical matters, as needed, with the technical referent for Nutrition available at the mission or at HQ.
Participates, as requested by his/her Line Manager, in the writing of Nutrition proposals.
Team Management & Human Resources Management
Identifies, recruits train and manages staff.
Ensures staff care.
Ensures Child safeguarding policy is enforced.
Ensures the whole team has a clear understanding of the Tdh mandate and project.
Ensures a positive working environment and good team dynamics (solve out potential conflicts), organize and lead coordination meetings.
Evaluates the staff under his/her direct responsibility on a regular basis and pass on the evaluations and recommendations to HR.
Ensures the communication contract is implemented within his/her team(s) and project teams.
Creates conditions for a good flow of operational information from delegation – field - delegation (verbal exchanges, e-mails, sitreps, reports, etc.).
Ensures overall compliance with the Tdh HR procedures and those of the country (fairness, transparency).
Participates in the delegation coordination meetings.
Ensures and support the accountability of the national teams in a gradual process of delegation and nationalization of managerial posts.
Develops his/her subordinates' self-reliance and encourage collaboration.
Security
Complies with Tdh Security Regulations.
Ensures Staff safety and inform staff on security rules as defined.
Reports any security/safety incident and/or risk to the emergency coordinator.
Profile :
Degree in Medicine or Nursing or Nutrition.
At least four years of experience in the implementation of Nutrition projects, preferably in humanitarian contexts.
Technical knowledge on CMAM and IYCF, experience in management of OTPs, SCs and TSFPs.
Successful track record of developing funding strategies and securing high levels of funding from institutional donors (OFDA; BPRM; DFID; ECHO; UN; etc.) ; excellent knowledge of the Logframe, proposal and budget development.
Proven knowledge of logistics implementation at national level.
Ability to work well and punctually under pressure.
A commitment to excellence; attention to detail.
Excellent level of English, written and spoken.
Excellent handling of IT tools, be it generalistic (Windows, Office, etc.) as well specific (EPI-INFO, etc.)
Salary :
Expatriate contract under Swiss labour code 2’950 CHF (~2’550 €) 4'300 CHF (~3’700 €) net /month according to experience x 13, Holidays: 25 days per year. Local accommodation and transportation, Health insurance, accident and medical repatriation insurance, return flight.
