POSITION: Resource Development Coordinator
POSITION LOCATION: Dhaka, Bangladesh

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The position will contribute to the implementation of the resource development strategy to retain, increase and diversify funding base of WV Bangladesh. Lead the cross-functional National Office and Regional Proposal Design teams for grant acquisition (technical, finance, supply chain, public engagement, Area Development Programs or operations, People & Culture), gathers information relevant to proposal or concept note being developed.
Assist in the identification and screening of grant opportunities and evaluates its fit with WVB Strategy/ Programs.
He/She will work closely with Technical Sector coordinators in the conduct of assessment ( data collection and analysis) and designing of concept notes /proposals according to the guidelines of the donor call or unsolicited funding opportunities. He/she will write concept notes and proposals for submission to institutional donors based on the plans and target for the period.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Write winning grants proposals.
Identify solicited and unsolicited funding opportunities and gather relevant donor intelligence.
Contributes to the pre-positioning of World Vision with donors and other stakeholders.
Writing of capacity statement on key technical sectors relevant to relationship building of potential partners.
Mapping of national NGOs at divisional level which can be potential strategic partners of World Vision for acquisition (Scoping and relationship building among strategic partners).
Support producing brief communication material (flyer/brochure) of key sectors achievement/results of WV program for use in partnering
Forming cross-functional (technical sector,HR,supply chain,finance,etc) at national office and cross-organizational (Area Development Program/Operations & National Office) or partner organization for assessment and proposal development.
Lead community level multi-sector/organization assessments.
Ensuring that work plan for the development of the concept note or proposal is in place with clear deliverables and timelines.
Ensures that agreed systems, processes and procedures on grant acquisition & management are followed including agreed work plan /schedules for the design team for every submission.
Conduct trainings for relevant staff on grant acquisition.
Assist Resource Dev. & Grants Compliance Manager in working with technical & regional teams in the identification of needs or funding gaps in programs.
Update information and knowledge gathered through participation of meeting, training, workshop and exchange visit.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
At least 5 yeas experience in development sector of which at least three years in grant writing and grant acquisition is a must.Strong knowledge and understanding of development issues and fundraising from bilateral and multilateral donors, trusts, foundations etc.
Updated on current knowledge of latest development methodologies and donor trends that impact the planning process.
Strong knowledge and understanding of humanitarian industry (relief, development, and advocacy), including how INGOs operate in the global and local contexts.
Understanding WV current ministry and operations is critical.
Broad understanding and in-depth knowledge of government and bi/multilateral agency funding requirements and systems.
Good conceptual and practical skill to write project concept paper and design documents of the project.
Skills in project design, budget preparation, evaluation and report writing.
Skills in monitoring and development of log-frames.
Proven capacity building ,facilitation and training skills.
Excellent command in English, both written and verbal.
Decision making and conflict resolution skills.
Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation.
Ability to work under stressful condition and adaptive to local culture and situation.
Managing and Coordinating Development/Relief Program in World Vision or similar agencies.
Experience in working with a cross-cultural environment - preferably in South Asian context.
Must be willing and able to travel nationally up to 12 weeks per annum.
Will provide support, coaching and mentoring to Department /Unit Heads and ensure a culture of collaboration and communication is maintained.
