In this exciting role, and as part of Plan International’s Asia Pacific Team, you will have the opportunityto contribute to building individual, organizational and partner capability, and knowledge in the Asia and Pacific region, in order to meet current and strategic requirements, while also creating a learning culture to embed capability development.

Working closely with the Asia Pacific leadership team, as well as the Global Learning and Development Team, some of the activities you will engage in, include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the design and implementation of regional learning and development plans and programmes, including delivery and evaluating learning impact for staff in Asia, in order to meet strategic and operational priorities
  • In collaboration with key stake holders, deliver and evaluate the global talent management programmes
  • Take a key role in managing and administrating the Plan International Learning Management System
  • Support the delivery of a learning approach relevant to diverse groups and individual requirements
  • Remain up to date on the external learning and training marketplace through the establishment and maintenance of relationships with external providers, INGO’s, relevant partners, and experts in order to continually improve the learning and development environment throughout Asia
  • Support Human Resource Managers, and leadership teams throughout Asia, in order to meet their learning needs.
  • Capture and analyse date from learning and development events in order to support the evaluation of learning, so that the organisation is continually seeking ways to improve learning activities.

The following are some of the requirements for this role:

  • A passion for Learning and Development
  • The ability to analyse and prioritize learning and development needs.
  • Strong knowledge on learning theories and supporting technologies, within understanding of instructional design.
  • Strong facilitation skills, while also understanding facilitation models and styles.
  • The ability to apply diversity and inclusion principles as part of a learning and development program and /or intervention.
  • Experience with learning management systems.
  • Strong relationship management skills.

This position is a locally contracted role, as such, there are no expat benefits available. A competitive salary will be paid in local currency, based on local standards, and taxes will be applicable.

While there is a preference for this position to be based as the Asia Pacific Hub Office in Bangkok, Thailand, there is flexibility in terms of location, and there remains the possibility that the post holder can be based in another country within Asia.
