Job Title: Program Manager II, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)
Reports to: Sub-regional Head of Programs

Job Summary:
Your primary responsibility will be to manage the multi-country Prepared & Resilient (PAR) project, funded by the Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP) --which focuses on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), improved agriculture and livelihoods, and saving and internal lending communities [SILC] in Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Timor-Leste. Your primary focus will be on ensuring documentation of learning and best practices, implementation of quality programming across all countries, and coordinating reports and donor deliverables. Your management skills and technical knowledge of DRR will ensure that the project delivers high-quality results. You will travel regularly to all three country programs to provide technical and management support. Your secondary responsibility will be to suppo rt the sub-region to expand DRR programming and donor engagement. This would include presenting relevant DRR results at external events, ensuring quality documentation of our DRR learning and approaches in coordination with the regional DRR RTA and pursuing relevant business development (BD) opportunities.
The selected candidate can be based in Bangladesh, Timore Leste or Bangladesh.
Typical Background, Experience & Requirements:
Education and Experience
* Master's Degree in International Development, International Relations required. Additional DRR-specific experience may substitute for some education.
* Minimum of 5 years of DRR field-based experience in coordinating or managing light to moderately complex projects required, preferably with an international NGO.
* Excellent written and spoken English required.
* Experience in managing moderately complex projects preferably with an international NGO
* Experience in staff management highly desirable.
* Knowledge management and learning documentation skills and experience required.
* Knowledge of CRS COMPASS and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Policies and Procedures is desirable.
* Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, Information and Communications Technology for Development, and Information management systems
