Position Description
Under this assignment, the candidate will contribute country specific knowledge, background and understanding as part of a team evaluating Counterterrorism’s (CT) Countering Terrorism Fund (CTF) Programming and Processes, under the supervision of the team leader. Findings, conclusions and recommendations will improve programmatic results and establish processes to best identify CTF country and activity priorities. The period of performance of this assignment is for six months. The evaluation will take place in the United States withthe consultant's input from Bangladesh.
Responsibilities
The Local Consultant will be responsible for contributing country specific data that will feed into a high quality and rigorous evaluation. He/she will have research assignments as provided by the team leader, which may include contribution to monthly progress reports, a desk assessment, field work and data collection, briefings to the client and draft and final reports.
Qualifications
This individual shall have at least five years’ experience working in the counterterrorism finance sector and a strong understanding of this type of programming in Bangladesh. Fluency in Bengali is imperative. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required. Evaluation expertise and experience is desirable and any knowledge of donor assistance in counterterrorism law enforcement is highly desirable.
