Tearfund is looking for a Country Representative to lead the review and implementation of an effective country strategy for our programme in Bangladesh. The role involves strategic planning, management of a partner portfolio, resource management, leadership and staff development, along with ensuring all aspects of in-country security, health and safety.
As a strong leader you will have substantial proven experience in strategic planning and thinking, budget management, project management and evaluation in the community development sector, and managing a team. This experience will have been gained in an Asian context, preferably Bangladesh. Ideally you will also have strong proven ability of securing institutional funding.
You will have oral and written proficiency in Bangla and be fluent and competent in written and spoken English. You will possess good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. You will also need to be self-disciplined, with the ability to lead proactively within a remote line management relationship.
