The Manager MIYCN will provide management and strategic support to the Bangladesh country office in implementing GAIN’s country level strategy for the Infant Young Child Nutrition (IYCN) portfolio.
The Program Manager will lead a project team to drive MIYCN Home Fortification project in collaboration with the Country Manager, and work very closely with the Bangladesh government, BRAC, Renata, SMC, and other civil society organizations to achieve impact at scale through the promotion of optimal infant and young child nutrition (IYCN) practices including home fortification.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive and proven experience in a leadership / management position, preferably within international development. Moreover, he/she will have experience in delivering an integrated nutrition / IYCN programs and experience working with and managing partners. Further, an understanding of nutrition and/or public health issues in Bangladesh is highly desirable. The ideal candidate must be educated to a Master's level in health, nutrition, program management or equivalent field and must be fluent in English and Bengali languages.
