PRESENTAtion

Educo (member of ChildFund Alliance in Spain) is a global development NGO. We defend children’s rights and promote sustainable social change by improving the living conditions of vulnerable populations, especially children. Our action is based on the Convention of the Rights of the Child. Out three institutional goals are: education, protection and governance.

Educo has been working in Asia since 1998, both through direct action and through local partners. Our work in the region has focused on Bangladesh, India and Philippines

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS JOB?

Support our teams in the region so they can maximize their impact and efficiency by adapting the HR framework for recruitment, people management and professional development.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM THE ROLE?

We believe that there is a direct link between the quality of our programs and impact and the quality of our teams. As such, the Regional HR Coordinator will act as an ambassador for improving our systems and practices across the region.

This person should help articulate all the HR work in the region. He/She should be able to influence and persuade the Educo team to implement good practices throughout the lifecycle of the organization’s staff, from job planning to recruitment, management, development and disengagement.

This person will develop various functions in Educo, from analyzing data and studies in the region to optimize salaries and labor relations, to mitigating conflicts and guiding professional development and career plans.

We also expect this person to play a key role in the organizational culture project in the region, both in terms of analysis and in terms the action plan for improvement.

Given the international nature of this job, we want this person to foment greater circulation of team members between countries, which will enable us to increase our capacity to find in-house solutions to the daily challenges related to our programs.

WHAT TYPE OF PROFESSIONAL ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone with a degree and complementary training in Human Resources. The ideal candidate will have successfully managed the complex role expected of a Human Resources professional, having achieved meaningful results in this area.

It is also important that the candidate have a solid understanding of international Non-Governmental Organizations and is familiar with the objectives of social justice that we pursue. He/she should also have experience in the region.

It is important that the person know how to effectively express and communicate his/her ideas and proposals in both written and spoken English. Spanish and French are a plus.

In summary, the person who will join our team in this capacity should be able to engage Educo’s team in the region in fomenting and improving people management.

CONDITIONS:

REMUNERATION

30.000 USD (all additional pay included).

LOCATION

The job will be based in one of Educo’s regional country offices, preferably in Bangladesh.

DURATION OF CONTRACT

The initial duration is 12 months, with option to renew.
