MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide overall guidance and leadership to implement Women, Adolescent and Young Child Space (WAYCS) project model to ensure that the Child Well-being outcomes (CWBO) and targets are considered.

Build capacity of partner’s staff and maintain professional relation to achieve planned activities.

Keep close contact with other sectors including protection, food security and livelihoods, Water and Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) etc.

Coordinate and maintain a good working relationship with local authorities, along with other stakeholders.

Make sure the standard quality implementation of health and nutrition program as per implementation guidelines.

Prepare training manual and facilitate training session.

Prepare social behavior change communication materials.

Ensure appropriate reporting system is in place.

Collect, compile, analyze and prepare monthly report and submit to Operation Director.

Assessment of Nutritional priorities and current landscape in Refugee Response in Cox's Bazar.

Develop strategy and priority activities for Refugee Response.

Map key stakeholders and funding opportunities for Nutrition response.

Assist Health team in developing projects that address key nutritional issues.

Familiarity with IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial support and ability to integrate into programs and activities.

Actively engage in nutrition cluster and other relevant technical working groups.

Control the budget and prepare reports and work collaboratively with sectors as and when necessary.

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must have at least a Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in humanitarian related work.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, people management, coaching, mentoring, and team building skills.
  • Strong problem identification, analytical and solving skills.
  • Strong competency in proposal & report writing, monitoring and budgeting skills.
  • Experience working with communities and local governments, INGOs, donors and other key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Demonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina.
  • Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local cultural context.
  • Ability to live and work in difficult remote areas and travel extensively.
  • Ability to maintain performance despite intense workload and work pace.

  • Knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct.
