Our Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs team acts to save lives and alleviate suffering of disaster-affected people by implementing sustainable programmes focused on meeting immediate and long-term needs.

Here’s where you come in:

As**, Gender Based Violence Advisor - Bangladesh Refugee Response**, you will provide the technical support to the implementation of the cross-sectorial. You will ensure that interventions are technically sound, take into account best practices, and are appropriately meeting the needs of adolescent girls and women in the targeted Refugees sites. You will report to the Child Protection and Protection Lead, but will work closely with all other Sector Leads and Project Managers to ensure the elements of their programs that align with GBV plan.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least a Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in humanitarian related work.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with communities and local governments, INGOs, donors and other key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to live and work in difficult remote areas and travel extensively.
