Bangladesh: International C4D Consultant for Development of SBCC Strategy-P4; Bangladesh

How can you make a difference?

Key tasks for the consultancy:

  • Desk review of existing literature, strategies and evidence in this area.
  • Consultation meeting with key partners to identify the challenges of previous campaigns and design new strategy
  • Draft the SBCC strategy, interventions, implementation and M&E plan of upcoming MR Campaign. Share with partners and staff for comments and revisions.
  • Provide technical inputs to the national consultant for developing set of messages, and monitoring tools according to the SBCC strategy.
  • Finalize strategy based on inputs received from partners and UNICEF staff; approve final design version for dissemination
  • To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • The individual must have, as a minimum, a post-graduate degree in social sciences (sociology, anthropology and rural development), public health and/or communication related sciences. Further advanced degrees will be an advantage.
  • At least 15 years of proven experience in socio-behavioral research, communication strategy development and/or implementation in support of health and social issues with focus on developing country contexts. Experience in design of multi-level, cross sectoral C4D/SBCC interventions at national and sub-national levels.
  • Experience in or understanding of maternal and newborn health issues
  • Demonstrated ability to organize workshops and conduct consultations with government officials and relevant individuals/organizations
  • Must have proven writing skills in English, as well as good analytical and presentation skills.

    Duration of contract with indicated assignment date: 40 working days over four months period from June 2018

    Duty Station: 40 days (from abroad including 10 days visit in Bangladesh)
