The Opportunity
The post holder will support the Cox’s Bazar team to develop and implement a humanitarian advocacy work-stream. The post holder will act as Plan International’s lead on humanitarian advocacy as a member of the Advocacy Working Group, the Country Office and the Response Team. The post holder will be responsible for positioning Plan International Bangladesh as a leading organization in raising the voices of children and young people, especially girls
The Humanitarian Advocacy Manager will dedicate 80% of their time to support the Cox’s Bazar programme, 20% of the post holders time will support humanitarian advocacy across the Asia region. The support to the Asia region will be on a needs basis in support of Plan International’s global influencing priority ‘Girls in Crisis’
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a passionate humanitarian advocate who has experience of using policy, advocacy, and media to influence for change. We believe that youth are the drivers of change, so experience working with young people to identify, design and lead influencing is required. You need to have proven humanitarian advocacy experience, that includes an understanding of how the international humanitarian architecture works, and have demonstrate your ability to develop and deliver bold and ambitious policy briefs.

Reports to: Head of Influencing with functional reporting in to ERM in Cox’s Bazar
