Purpose of Assignment:
To engage Institute of Public Health and Nutrition (IPHN), Nutrition Cluster Infant and Young Child Technical Working Group (IYCF TWG), Other National and Sub-National Clusters in Bangladesh and other relevant stakeholders to finalize development of an operational guideline for supporting implementation of “Infant & Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E) interventions” specific to Bangladesh context.
Major Tasks and responsibilities:

Time Frame
1.Facilitate the review process by the Bangladesh Nutrition Cluster and other Clusters (Food Security, WASH, Shelter, Health, GBV, Education) for the draft “Operational Guideline on IYCF-E in Bangladesh” in order to build consensus and contextualise the guideline to partners’ operational experiences in Bangladesh.
Draft guideline (incl. Annex C) for submission to IPHN, amended to reflect NC partner inputs.

2. Support the validation process by IPHN’s Technical Committee (as selected by IPHN) for the guideline through supporting IPHN to carry out preparatory work, providing technical support, amending the guideline as needed and liaising between various stakeholders and experts.
Final guideline, amended to reflect the Technical Committee’s inputs.

3.In consultation with the Nutrition Cluster and the Technical Committee, map the required reporting tools and pathways, gather and review existing tools, and finalize monitoring and reporting tools which are reflective of the Minimum IYCF-E Response Package as specified in the guideline.

4.Develop training materials aimed at building the capacity of health and nutrition programme managers to implement the guideline.

5.Lead the delivery of the IYCF-E Programming training package in collaboration with additional trainers; revise the training package based on training delivery experience and feedback.

6.Prepare and facilitate a workshop to present the guideline, training materials and tools and agree upon roll out plans.
