NCA is implementing integrated Gender Based Violence (GBV), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Watsan and Hygiene (WASH) projects together with our local partner. The GBV interventions incorporate activities to insure both prevention of GBV and protection of GBV survivors and at risk populations. Examples include the integration of GBV components in a WASH project and capacity building of partners on GBV prevention and Menstruation Hygiene Management (MHM).
As our GBV Coordinator you will lead the implementation of the GBV and response projects in cooperation with our local partner. You will be responsible for training, coaching and mentoring staff members on GBV and SRHR issues to assure the quality delivery of programs. You will also actively be seeking new sustainable partnerships and funding with both donors and implementing partners to meet the NCA country strategy in GBV and SRHR.
You have excellent communication- and writing skills and you are able to communicate across all areas of the organization and with colleagues at all levels, from senior leadership to national staff employees. You are self-driven, structured and work with a systematic approach. You have experience in making those who work around you better and are extremely supportive at involving and training others.
The position is based in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh and falls under the Department for International programmes, Humanitarian Division. You will be part of a multicultural work environment with highly competent and professional colleagues. The program is based in Kutupalong Refugee Camp Extension sites and in host communities in Teknaf.
The position is initially an 8-month contract, with a start date as soon as possible or at the latest by 1st of April.

Duties and responsibilities
Lead the implementation of the GBV and response projects and related activities and initiatives with local partner.
Provide technical guidance and direction including ongoing training, coaching and mentoring to staff members on GBV and SRHR issues to assure the quality delivery of programs.
Provide technical input and direction to adolescent girl programming and bring together technical expertise from across multiple sectors to ensure that the program is holistic and effective in its approach to working with adolescent girls.
Undertake regular field monitoring visits to assess progress and identify technical quality issues and/or other implementation issues, provide solutions, and implement modifications as required
Work closely with the partner on GBV Prevention and Response to ensure timely and high quality implementation of project activities, sharing of knowledge and information, proper monitoring, and adjustments to project strategies.
Oversee the GBV case management and maintenance of confidential filing system guidance on GBV case management to case workers.
Actively seek new sustainable partnerships and funding with both donors and implementing partners to meet the NCA country strategy in GBV and SRHR
Support partner in preparation of timely donor reports, and liaises with donor counterparts as necessary
Represent NCA at networks with coordination mechanisms to ensure effective coordination of partners on GBV prevention and response.
Ensure GBV mainstreaming in the NCA SRHR and WASH program.
Qualifications
Relevant formal, higher education in Social Work, Public Health and/or International Development.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the humanitarian sector with GBV program management and protection/GBV coordination
Strong English skills, both verbal and written
Experience with proposal writing, reporting and Monitoring and Evaluation
Experience in design, development and implementation of program strategies and complex project interventions
Demonstrated experience in capacity development and skills-transfer to local organizations and on-the-job training for staff
It is an advantage if you have completed an extended security training within the last four years
