The Volunteer’s Role
As the Marketing Advisor, your role will be to increase tourism for Southern Laos by developing marketing campaigns to boost the number of visitors to the region. You will work with Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Program (MIGIP-T), a program launched through the collaboration of Cuso International and Swiss Contact in 2017. You will work collaboratively with the marketing task force, local partners, Swiss Contact staff and other Cuso International volunteers assigned to MIGIP.
As a volunteer, you will:
Update social media postings on Facebook and Instagram
Create website content and update newsfeed
Build capacity of the Website management team
Report to Southern Laos Tourism Marketing Task Force
Develop content for industry publications (in-flight magazines etc.)
Essential Academic Qualifications:
- Degree in Communications, Digital Marketing, and qualifications in Social Media development
Essential Professional Background:
Experience with social media and digital marketing tools
Desired experience working with private sector partners
Good understanding of standard project cycle management tool and approaches
