Grants Manager, Bangladesh
ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking a Grants Manager for the anticipated USAID-funded Feed the Future Strengthening Agriculture Production and Market Systems (SAPMS) Activity. The project will be a five-year primary mechanism to support small holder productivity and market systems development under USAID/Bangladesh’s FTF strategy, with the objective of improved food security through systemic changes that increase rural incomes and – via increased incomes, including women’s income, and incentivized crop diversification – to improved nutrition. USAID/Bangladesh’s new Strengthening Agriculture Production and Market Systems (SAPMS) activity will foster growth and reduce poverty through improving the competitiveness, inclusiveness, and resilience of rice and other selected crops in the FTF Zone of Influence (ZOI) to the benefit of large numbers of men and women and their families in rural households, farms, and market systems.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the Grants and Contracts unit and manage all related activities. This includes all aspects in preparing solicitations and applications processes, contracting/awarding subagreements, disbursing of funds, the provision of grant management assistance to the grantees, and overseeing the subgrant management system.
• Serve as the liaison with implementing partners in terms of contractual obligations, reporting requirements, etc.
• Work with field teams and beneficiaries in all aspects of grant management.
• Establish and maintain high-level and productive working relationships with subgrantees and partners.
• Develop and implement procedures and timelines for cash disbursements to sub-grantees in compliance with ACDI/VOCA procedures.
• Oversee the procurement of goods and services required by ACDI/VOCA.
• Ensure compliance with ACDI/VOCA and USAID requirements.
• Other responsibilities as specified by the Chief of Party.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of university degree in a related field such as Public Administration or Business Administration, Economics, International Development; a Masters is highly desirable.
• 5 years demonstrated experience managing grant programs.
• Must have experience in logistics and procurement procedures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of USAID policies, procedures, regulations and reporting requirements.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and strategic planning.
• Sound working knowledge of information technology; experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advance comprehension of spreadsheet and database packages.
• Fluency in English required.
